Geographical & Social Circumstances of Narmada District
In India, within the Gujarat State there is a District called Narmada. The region has a Tribal Population.
There are 132 villages in Kevadiya Section of Narmada District. For various needs they come to Kevadiya Colony which is a nearest market place. Out of 132, many villages have poor geographical situation which worsen their socio-economic developments. It affects their health status too. Some villages are made up of scattered houses positioned on different hills

About 30 villages are in hilly interior areas of Satpuda Hills. Commutation to Kevadiya Colony is only possible by foot or vehicle like Jeep.

People in hilly area do not have much Job Opportunities. Occasionally they get just Rs 35-40 per day for Farm Labour. Otherwise they cut woods, carry on their heads & walk for more than 15 kms to get Rs 15-20 for Wood. In fact cutting of wood and selling them is Illegal.
